TRANSLATION SERVICES
Company and commercial documents
Commercial pages fail when a defined term, an annex or a company name shifts between languages. Asuman Aksoy, based in Fethiye, Muğla, translates contracts and company documents between Turkish and Persian, Dari, Pashto or English, in both directions. A notary, a bank, a trade registry or the other party decides what it will accept. The translation is not a legal opinion, a tax filing, or a company formation.

WHO THIS IS FOR
Businesses and the people who sign for them.
Fethiye companies, foreign firms dealing with a Turkish counterparty, and individuals signing for a company all bring different pages. The reader is whoever will rely on the Turkish, or the foreign, text.
Parties to a contract
A sale, a lease, a service agreement or a charter can be signed in more than one language. If one text is to govern, the contract should say so. Translation does not silently choose the governing copy.
Foreign companies opening a Turkish file
A bank, a notary or a trade-registry filing may want articles, a registry extract, a tax page or a signatory list in Turkish. Ask that institution which pages, and whether it wants the notary’s act.
Turkish companies sending papers abroad
A trade-registry gazette extract or a tax plate used outside Türkiye may need a translation and, separately, an apostille on the Turkish public document if the other country is a convention party.
Fethiye and Muğla businesses
Marinas, agencies, workshops and shops on this coast often need a contract or a registry page read by a foreign partner. Written work is done from Fethiye. We do not negotiate the deal.
BEFORE WE BEGIN
A commercial checklist.
Name every piece the other side will hold. An unsigned draft and a signed contract are different jobs, and an annex can be longer than the contract.
- The contract, including signature pages, and a note of which language governs if the draft already says
- Annexes, schedules, price lists and technical exhibits the clause incorporates
- Articles of association or equivalent constitutional pages
- Trade-registry extract or gazette entry, and the date it was pulled
- Signature circular (imza sirküleri) or the signatory list the bank or notary named
- Tax plate or other tax-office page, if a file asks for it in another language
- Activity certificate or chamber registration, when that desk asked for a translation
- Power of attorney for a company signatory, including the powers that are actually listed
- Invoices or delivery notes, only the set a dispute or a filing has named — not a year’s archive by default
- Apostille or legalisation already on a public company document
- The consistent form of the company name, and any brand name that must stay untranslated
Do not send bank details, identity numbers or a full signed contract in the first WhatsApp message. A page count and a description are enough to scope the work.
A THOUGHTFUL PROCESS
Terms first, then the pages.
Commercial translation is mostly consistency. The steps exist to stop a defined word meaning two things by the last annex.
Say who will rely on the text
A counterparty, a Fethiye notary, a bank, the trade registry or a foreign authority will not read the page with the same patience. The purpose changes how literal the work should be.
Freeze names and defined terms
Send the company names, person names and any term the draft already defines. Those stay stable. We do not “improve” a party’s name into a translation.
Count the whole set
Signature pages and annexes are in the job if the reader will see them. A translation of clause 1 with a silent annex is an incomplete contract.
Translate in the confirmed pair
Persian, Dari, Pashto or English, with Turkish, both directions. A bilingual draft that is already partly in Turkish needs to be flagged so we do not translate a Turkish clause back into Turkish by habit.
Notary or apostille only if that file needs it
A private contract is not a public document merely because it matters. A registry extract may be. The notary’s act and any apostille are separate from the translation and follow those offices’ days.
You use the text
Signing, filing and paying tax remain yours, your notary’s, or your adviser's. TürkiyeRota does not give legal, tax or corporate advice by translating a page.
THREE DIFFERENT MARKS
Which commercial pages take which mark.
A contract and a registry extract do not collect the same stamps. Asking for all three on every page adds cost and can still miss the one the bank named.
Sworn translation
The usual request when a notary, a bank or a foreign partner wants a signed rendering of a contract or a company page. It is the translator’s text, under the oath given before a Turkish notary.
Notarized translation
The notary acts on the translator’s signature. Company powers of attorney and some bank files ask for this by name. The notary does not approve the deal, the price or the tax treatment.
Apostille
Relevant when a Turkish public document — often a registry extract or a notarial act — must be shown in another convention country, or when a foreign public company document must enter Türkiye. Private contracts are apostilled only if a competent authority has first made them, or a notarial copy, a public document. Iran and Afghanistan are outside the June 2026 table. Pakistan is inside it, since March 2023.
Translating a tax plate does not file a return. Translating articles does not incorporate a company. For procedure rather than language, the tax and administrative consultancy is a different service, and it is still not specialist tax advice.
WHERE IT IS USED
Desks that ask for commercial Turkish.
Confirm the set with the institution. The notes below are the requests we are usually answering, not a filing manual.
Notaries
A power of attorney, a share transfer or a contract signing may need a party to read a sworn text, or an interpreter in the room. The interpreter is a separate booking. The notary decides what must be understood before the act.
Banks
Account opening and credit files often ask for a signature circular, a registry extract and sometimes a tax page. The bank’s compliance list is the list. A translation does not open the account.
Trade registry and counterparties
A gazette extract or articles may need to be read by a foreign shareholder or by a Turkish registry. Names, capital figures and the list of powers are the lines officers compare. They should not drift.
Cross-border use
A Turkish public company document used abroad may need an apostille from the governor’s side or, if it is judicial, the judicial commission, after the Turkish signature exists. That queue is not part of the translation window.
COMMON MISTAKES
Commercial errors that are expensive later.
These are language errors with legal consequences. We do not give the legal advice. We do refuse to hide the clash.
Translating the signature page only
The obligations are in the clauses and the annexes. A signed last page in Turkish, with the deal still in another language, is not “the contract in Turkish”.
Improving the company name
A registry will compare characters. Translate the descriptive words if asked, and keep the registered name stable. Tell us which form is on the gazette.
Apostilling a private draft
An unsigned commercial draft is not a public document. There may be nothing to apostille until a notary or another authority has done their own act. Ask before you plan around a stamp that has no document to land on.
Treating the translation as advice
A clear Turkish clause can still be a bad clause. Have the person who will sign, or their own adviser, read the meaning. Our work is the rendering, not the recommendation to sign.
PRACTICAL TIPS
A contract that stays one contract.
Small habits keep figures and names intact.
- Send a note of defined terms before the full text, especially if the draft is still moving.
- Mark annexes that are pictures, plans or tables so they are counted rather than discovered at the end.
- Keep currency names and unit symbols as printed, and say if a figure must also be written out in words.
- If both language versions will be signed, decide which prevails before either is called final.
- Pull a fresh registry extract if the bank wants a recent one. Translation does not update the registry.
- For a signing in Fethiye, book any interpreter separately from the written text. The room and the booklet are different work.
TIMING
Length and annexes set the window.
A two-page engagement letter and a contract with technical schedules are different plans. We agree a window after the page count, the pair and any notary step are known. A closing date you have promised a counterparty is useful context and not a guarantee. Notary hours in Fethiye, a bank’s internal review and an apostille queue sit outside the translation. This page does not state a fee or a number of days.
